Day tripping today. Points of interest include: Cucumber WV, War WV, Squire WV, and a trip to "The Grand Canyon of the South" at Breaks Interstate Park (VA/KY). Back home on Rt460 through Grundy, Pounding Mill and Tazewell VA. Got up to a beautiful day, too pretty to stay home.

sounds like fun. I went hiking at sugarloaf mountain and was surprised to find how far behind the greenery was. nothing blooming. oh, except for the skunk cabbage :)
we found just the opposite - tazewell and buchanan counties in southwest va are much greener. some trees even have small leaves already. no skunk cabbage!
