Aunt Paula's Cabbage Rolls



head of cabbage

cup of cooked rice

stick of butter

tsp. paprika

lb. ground pork

one medium onion, chopped

large can of tomato juice

salt and pepper to taste




Boil a head of cabbage. Cool and peel leaves from core.

Cook rice.

Saute chopped onions with butter and paprika.

Mix ground pork with onions and rice.

Roll meat mixture in cabbage leaves.

Put extra cabbage pieces in pot, then add cabbage rolls.

Add salt and pepper.

Cover rolls with tomato juice and water if needed.

Cook covered for about an hour.
